Cleaning Up With A New Accessible Wet Room
Our customer in Llanelli got into contact with us regarding transforming their bathroom into an accessible wet room, so the first stage was to arrange a home assessment to take measurements, discuss the clients design requirements and to understand their access needs. Together with the client we determined the most effective layout to be able to accomplish the ideal bathing solution for to match their specifications.
As soon as all our technical drawings of the new accessible wet room were complete we met our customer at our preferred tile supplier ‘Liberty Tiles’ to consider the many choices of tiles that would be perfect for the wet room together with the specialist anti-slip flooring. When all the details were agreed upon we scheduled an appropriate installation date convenient for the client.
Day 1 On the first day of the accessible wet room installation we extracted the old bathtub, basin and lavatory providing us with a blank canvas to work from.
Day 2 The old wall tiles were removed and the first fix plumbing was completed.
Day 3 The shower dec was installed on the floor and the shower area preparation began.
Day 4 We began laying the new wall tiles which were a great choice by our customer.
Day 5 It was then time to grout the wall tiles, setup the new chrome towel radiator, new Mira shower and begin preparing the floor area.
Day 6 We fitted the anti slip Altro flooring, re-installed the existing basin and lavatory.
Day 7 The last step involved installing the shower screen, cleaning the bathroom thoroughly and completely sealing the shower area.
